Phoenix, Arizona, September 25, 2023: To raise awareness for the Sankara Nethralaya organization in Phoenix, Arizona, SN USA organized a Meet and Greet event featuring the renowned Indian film lyricist, Shri. Anantha Sriram Garu, in Chandler, Arizona on September 10th, 2023. The event captivated the audience with Anantha Sriram Garu’s non-movie lyrics and songs, attracting around 250 attendees. Adding to the surprise, Indian singer Raghu Kunche Garu made a memorable appearance and performed several Telugu and Hindi songs.
The event commenced with devotional songs dedicated to Lord Ganesha by Mrs. Rama Nishtala, Smt. Sindhu Thadiparthi, and Mr. Varun. In addition to Anantha Sriram Garu’s program, approximately 25 children from Sri Sankara Bala Vikas recited slokas, and they were honored, along with their guru, Shri. Amaranth Kundanamadugu, by presenting mementos. The bhajan performance by the Art of Living team, led by Mrs. Monasha Joshi, added a pleasant touch to the evening, despite the warm weather in Phoenix.
During this event, the Reddy family, represented by Mrs. Rekha Reddy and Mr. Adishesha Reddy, pledged their support for the MESU (Mobile Eye Surgical Unit) Adopt-A-Village program in 2024, focusing on Keshapuram Village, Sathyasai District, Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, Mrs. Pallavi Kovuru and Mr. Dheeraj Pola’s family pledged their support for a MESU Adopt-A-Village 11-day eye camp in 2024, targeting Rajampet, Annamayya District in Andhra Pradesh.
