Make In India Week – February 13-18

Atlanta,GA: The Government of India launched ‘Make in Indi’a to encourage manufacturing of products in India by multinational and domestic companies.

‘Make in India’ week is being organized from February 13-18, 2016 in Mumbai, according to a press release issued by the Consulate General of India, Atlanta.  The event intends to spark a renewed sense of pride in the Indian industry by showcasing the potential of design, innovation and sustainability across India’s manufacturing sectors in the coming decade and take corporate and public participation to the next level.

The week-long event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The following facilitation arrangements are made for the visiting business and industry delegations:

Foreign companies already manufacturing or planning to make manufacturing investments in India will be allowed to set up pavilions in the specially designated exhibition area of the Make-in-India Center. If a large number of companies from a particular country are planning to visit Mumbai for the event, they could consider setting up a Country Pavilion. Any queries received by Missions / Posts in this regard may kindly be forwarded to ITP Division.

Country-specific seminars (with a focus on investing in India or partnering with Indian companies) can be arranged if there is interest in such a platform.

G2G and B2G meetings to discuss business opportunities and investment plans will be facilitated.
