Atlanta, GA, July 3, 2024: Rajeev Kumaraswamy, a 28-year-old man from Forsyth County, has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2021 murder of his father, Sadashiviah Kumaraswamy.
The incident occurred on July 22, 2021, at approximately 5:50 p.m., when an argument between Rajeev and his father escalated. Rajeev retrieved a gun from his room and shot his father multiple times at their home on 3905 Homestead Ridge Drive in Cumming. Sadashiva was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rajeev was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of felony murder. His father was 49-years-old at the time of his murder.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office had no prior contact or calls for service from the home before this incident​. (developing story).
