AALAC Voter Registration Blitz at Global Mall & 12 Other Locations

Atlanta, GA: As part of Asian American Legal Advocacy Center’s (AALAC) annual campaign to register AAPI voters, a voter registration blitz will be conducted on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 1:00-5:00 PM at the following thirteen locations in Duluth, Peachtree Corners, Norcross, Doraville, Chamblee and Clarkston: 1) North Dekalb Mall, 2) South Asian Mart, 3) Thriftown, 4) ASSI – Duluth, 5) Great Wall Supermarket, 6) Nam Dae Mun – Duluth, 7) H-Mart – Duluth, 8. MegaMart, 9) Global Mall, 10) Hong Kong Supermarket, 11) Nam Dae Mun – Norcross, 12) Canton House and 13) H-Mart Doraville.  These businesses were selected as voter registration sites based on their high proportion of Asian customers.

“This is the second of three major voter registration blitzes AALAC will organize before the October 6th voter registration deadline,” said Helen Kim Ho AALAC’s Executive Director, “These organized drives, together with voter registration drives we will conduct at MARTA stations, school campuses, churches and other locales, is meant to increase the number of new immigrant and refugee American voters in Georgia for the mid-term elections.”
