Mumbai spiritual guru's book is New York Times July best-seller

Mumbai, July 31 (IANS) Spiritual Guru Radhanath Swami’s new book, “The Journey Within: Exploring the Path of Bhakti”, has topped the July New York Times Best-seller list within two months of its release in the US, an official said here on Sunday.

The book by Radhanath Swami, who is head of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) here, topped the list in the Religion, Spirituality and Faith category for this month (July 2016).

“I am truly elated to see such a great response from the people of America towards this book. This kind of spiritual interest and awakening strengthens my belief and commitment towards humanitarian projects undertaken by ISKCON,” Radhanath Swami reacted to the development.

The book has been endorsed by several celebs, including Russel Brand, Cornel West, Sharon Gannon and others as Radhanath Swami launched a US tour after it was released on May 17.

Radhanath Swami is a well-known corporate speaker, spiritual groups leader and runs a Mid-Day Meal Scheme for schoolchildren, a hospital and an eco-village near Mumbai among other projects, through ISKCON.

The book — of which over 62,000 copies have been published — was reviewed and featured in top US mainstream and niche media publications.
