Viksit Bharat Run 2025: Atlanta Joins Global Call for a Developed India

Atlanta, GA, September 29, 2025: The Consulate General of India in Atlanta, in partnership with MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, organized the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 as part of the global mega event held across 150+ international locations.

Over 300 runners and 50 volunteers – students, professionals, community leaders, and friends of India ,turned Atlanta into a hub of energy and pride. Held during Seva Pakhwada (Sept 17–Oct 2), the 3-km run highlighted India’s progress in infrastructure, healthcare, technology, and sustainability under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Participants recited the Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat pledge, affirming their commitment to a developed, self-reliant India by 2047. In line with the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative, 200+ saplings were distributed to promote environmental responsibility.

Georgia Senator Shawn Still, Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry, Councilmen Dilip Tunki and Bob Erramilli, SEWA USA President Srikanth Gundavarapu, and Padma Shri Dr. Dhananjay Sagdeo joined the event, underscoring India’s development story and diaspora engagement.

From London to New York, Paris to Sydney, the run united communities worldwide, echoing the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam , “the world is one family.”

The message from Atlanta and beyond was clear: the journey toward a Viksit Bharat @ 2047 is a global mission.
