Utkarsh Ambudkar Joins Disney Jr.’s SuperKitties as Season 3 Villain

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Atlanta, GA, September 16, 2025: Indian American actor Utkarsh Ambudkar, best known for his role in the CBS comedy Ghosts, is lending his voice to Disney Jr.’s hit animated series SuperKitties. Ambudkar joins the Season 3 cast as Champster, one-half of “The Glamsters,” a glamorous yet hilariously clueless villain duo made up of brother-and-sister hamsters. His co-star, Ginnifer Goodwin (Zootopia 2), voices the sister, Pamster Glamster.

The Glamsters promise to bring comedy and chaos to Kittydale as they tangle with the four feline superheroes—Ginny, Sparks, Buddy, and Bitsy—who are dedicated to making their town a more caring and “pawesome” place.

Season 3 launches September 22 with a brand-new “Su-Purr Wild” story arc, taking viewers into the Kittydale Wild Jungle. The SuperKitties will be joined by their wildcat friend Willa and a host of new jungle critters in this round of adventures. The premiere airs on Disney Jr. (7:30 a.m. PDT), Disney Channel (8:00 a.m. PDT), and Disney Jr. On Demand, with the first six episodes dropping on Disney+ on October 1.

Since its 2023 debut, SuperKitties has become a preschool favorite, racking up more than 6.5 billion minutes watched across platforms and over 250 million YouTube views. Its popularity has spawned toys, apparel, costumes, books, and music releases from Disney Consumer Products and Walt Disney Records. The upcoming soundtrack, Disney Jr. Music: SuperKitties Su-Purr Wild Original Soundtrack, featuring new songs from the season, will be released September 19.

Ambudkar, who has built a career that bridges comedy, music, and film—including roles in Pitch Perfect, The Mindy Project, and Disney’s live-action Mulan—adds another milestone with SuperKitties. His latest role reflects a growing trend of Indian American actors making their mark in children’s entertainment and mainstream media, bringing diverse voices and characters to the screen.

Returning voice cast members for Season 3 include Emma Berman (Ginny), Cruz Flateau (Sparks), Landon Chase Dubois (Buddy), and Pyper Braun (Bitsy), along with Thea Gallagher as Willa. Guest stars include Justin Guarini, James Monroe Iglehart, Pamela Adlon, and Anika Noni Rose.

Created by Emmy Award-winner Paula Rosenthal (Peter Rabbit), the series is produced by Sony Pictures Television – Kids in association with Disney Jr.

With Ambudkar’s sharp wit and Goodwin’s charm, SuperKitties is set to deliver its most entertaining season yet—purr-fectly balancing heart, humor, and superhero action for preschoolers and families.
