Panjabi Devils Biker Gang Founder Indicted on Federal Gun Charges After Trying to Flee Country

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Stockton, CA, August 1, 2025: Jashanpreet Singh, the 26‑year‑old founder of the Panjabi Devils Motorcycle Club, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on multiple firearms charges, days after he was arrested at San Francisco International Airport while allegedly attempting to flee to India.

The indictment, announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California on July 31, charges Singh with unlawful dealing of firearms, unlawful possession of a machine gun, and possession of an unregistered short‑barreled rifle. The maximum penalty for the charges combined is 25 years in prison and more than $500,000 in fines.

Authorities allege that Singh, whose biker club is based in Stockton and reportedly has links to the Hells Angels, sold illegal weapons to an undercover officer in early June. A subsequent search of his residence and vehicle allegedly uncovered multiple assault weapons, a silencer, a hand grenade, and a claymore‑style device that bomb technicians later destroyed.

Singh was initially facing state charges in San Joaquin County but failed to appear in court on July 21. Federal and local authorities say he was taken into custody on July 26 after checking in for a flight to India. He remains in federal custody pending trial.

The investigation involved several agencies, including the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations, and local sheriff’s departments. Officials say the case forms part of a broader effort to combat organized crime and illegal firearms trafficking through federal initiatives such as Operation Take Back America and Project Safe Neighborhoods.

Singh has not yet entered a plea. All charges remain allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
