Plymouth County, MA, February 3, 2025: Mohammed Wajid, a 28-year-old Indian student from Hyderabad, tragically lost his life in a road accident in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, on January 28, 2025.

According to reports, Wajid was driving a semi-truck when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign at an intersection and collided with a truck hauling grain. The impact caused his vehicle to strike the rear of the grain truck, splitting it in half. Emergency responders transported Wajid to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the grain truck survived the crash.

Wajid, originally from the Khairatabad area in Hyderabad, had moved to Chicago four years ago to pursue postgraduate studies. Telangana Congress Secretary Mohammed Shahabuddin expressed condolences, remembering Wajid for his dedication and leadership.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to repatriate Wajid’s body to India for final rites.
