Atlanta, GA, December 16, 2025: Dr. Sreeni R. Gangasani has been reappointed to the Georgia Composite Medical Board for an additional four-year term, having previously served as both Vice Chair and Chair during his last tenure. His ongoing service demonstrates a solid record of leadership in advocating for high standards in medical practice, patient safety, and equitable regulation for physicians throughout Georgia.
In addition to his Board role, Dr. Gangasani has been an influential figure in organized medicine. He is a former President of the Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage (GAPI) and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), where he works to support Indian American physicians and promote access to quality healthcare.
Dr. Gangasani has also played a key role in enhancing the visibility of AAPI on both national and international stages. He chaired the AAPI Annual Convention in 2019 and 2021, overseeing significant academic and networking initiatives that showcased the contributions of Indian American physicians. Additionally, he served as Chair of the AAPI Global Health Summit in Hyderabad, fostering collaboration between physicians in the United States and India.
