Daycare in Alpharetta closes amid abuse allegations against former employee

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Alpharetta, GA, March 12, 2025 — The Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy located at 3455 Webb Bridge Road in Alpharetta has closed permanently following serious allegations against a former employee, Tulsi Patel.

22-year-old Patel was arrested in July 2024 on multiple charges including aggravated child molestation, cruelty to children, and simple battery. Authorities allege that Patel sexually and physically assaulted 12 children during her brief two-week tenure at the daycare.

Following Patel’s arrest, the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) denied the daycare’s license renewal. Although the center initially indicated plans to appeal the decision, it later withdrew, resulting in the voluntary closure of the facility on March 7, 2025.

Patel spent six months in custody before being released on bond in January 2025. While the investigation into her actions has concluded, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has not ruled out the possibility of additional charges.

The closure has left many families scrambling to secure alternative childcare arrangements. In response, DECAL is providing resources to help parents find suitable daycare options. Families can visit the DECAL website or contact the agency at 1-877-ALL GA KIDS for assistance.
