Indian-American Man Sparks Outrage After Using Racial Slur at Dallas Restaurant

Dallas, TX, July 7, 2025: A video filmed at Moxie’s restaurant in Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood has gone viral, capturing an Indian-American man repeatedly using a racial slur in an exchange with a Black woman. The incident has sparked widespread condemnation on social media.

In the footage, the man, identified on camera as Stanley Thomas, is seen using the N-word multiple times, even after being confronted. “I say the N-word all the time,” he says, before offering to demonstrate different pronunciations and repeating the slur. When asked to stop, Thomas smiles, gives a thumbs-up, and says, “No, I’m proud,” while identifying himself on camera.

The woman filming the video tells Thomas that his language is inappropriate and offensive, to which he responds by claiming he is “20 percent Black.” He attempts to justify his use of the slur by referencing the Siddi community in India, an ethnic group descended from Africans. The woman dismisses the claim, saying, “I’m going to AirDrop this to you so you can show your fellow Indian friends.”

The video was first posted by the X (formerly Twitter) account “I Expose Racists and Pedos,” and was later widely circulated. The account also shared what appeared to be Thomas’ Facebook profile, which listed him as a senior business analyst at Christus Health. In response, Christus Health issued a statement clarifying that Thomas is not affiliated with the organization and that his behavior does not reflect the company’s values.

“We are aware of the recent video circulating online and want to be clear that the individual is not employed by Christus Health. We strongly condemn the language and behavior displayed,” the company said.

Online reactions to the video have been swift and critical. Many social media users condemned the man’s use of the slur and his dismissive attitude. “On behalf of Indians worldwide, we do not claim him,” one commenter wrote. Others emphasized that while freedom of speech exists, hate speech carries consequences.
