Call it cosmopolitan faith or crossover loyalty, Britney Spear paid a visit to the Hindu temple in Malibu recently – all the way from Kabblah order. With her four-month-old son Sean Preston tucked in her arms, she silently took part in the lengthy temple rituals.
Temple President Nadadur Varadhan, is said to have appraised her of the important aspects of Hinduism, considered the oldest religion on earth.
Apart from darshan of the deity, the other things that impressed the popstar were the regular food offerings in the temple – Puligere and
Sadam.
Varadan said the pop star would visit the temple again in the near future, and would perform longer pujas. She sought blessings of the priest for her little son, her forehead smeared with vermillion.
The artiste was raised a Baptist but was initiated into the mystical Jewish, the religion of Kabbalah by her music mentor Madonna. Britney is reportedly also visiting Hindu mystics for a peek into the past and the future.
