“I think America and India relations and its continuance are very important to us and important to the rest of the world, ” said Democratic presidential contender John Edwards, speaking to this reporter during his recent visit to Atlanta where he addressed Democratic Party functionaries. 

Edwards said he spoke at a conference last year sponsored by one of the major newspapers in India. “I had a very good visit there. India is an extraordinary country, a great democracy. We want to maintain strong relations with India”, he said
