Atlantans couldn’t ask for a better gift this Thanksgiving,
as prominent community member P I Joy and Atlanta developer
Ron Onorato, along with Bob Alvarez of North Point Group Inc
and John H. Kim, C.E.O Team Spirit Realty & Investment Inc
announced the completion of their upscale $250 million
project Point Berkeley, International Village in Duluth, GA.
This master-planned premier location has been systematically
divided into three phases. Phase One has class A office
condominiums from 1,400 to 10,000 sq. ft, showrooms and
warehouses from 2,600 to 10,000 sq. ft. The beauty of these
condominiums is that, whether big or small, these are
designed to fit everyone’s needs. Business distribution is
done with a fine balance. For example you wouldn’t find more
than two jewelry shops or two footwear shops. Only few of
the finest and trendiest brands would be available, so that
shoppers get more variety and fun while they shop.
Phase Two unveils the much awaited, one stop international
grocery mart- The A-Mart. Mostly grocery stores cater to a
specific region like we have Hispanic stores, Indian stores,
Korean or Chinese stores, A-Mart is the melting pot of all
such regions for their grocery needs. It covers the maximum
fresh variety products at the most competitive prices for
the people around the world, primarily Asian. As you enter
this fantabulous store you would notice that upstairs is The
International Mall with over 100 vendors selling goods from
around the world, and the ground level is studded with a few
of the finest Indian, Chinese and Mexican cuisines; a
cocktail lounge, Day Spa, Acupuncture and a variety of other
unique shops and places. So it is designed to be the hangout
spot for any weekend.
“The concept behind the International Mall is, we want
people to feel like they can take their families to shop,
play, relax- there is something for everyone.” said Bob
Alvarez, President, Sales and Marketing, North Point Group
Inc.
Phase three will consist of a fitness club, 20,000 sq. ft.
spa with indoor pool, a driving range, a banquet hall and
last but not the least a seven-story hotel. People from out
of town can come and stay here and enjoy the best of
Atlanta’s magnanimous shopping and dining experience. One
can go to the driving range, have dinner or a cocktail, hang
out at one of the bars, or just relax at the spa. Family,
friends and business guests can enjoy the hotel while
children have fun at the parks and playgrounds.
The fourth phase consists of three mid-size buildings, which
will be ready by 2009.
Point Berkeley is spread out over 217,000 sq. ft. It
consists of the 54,000 sq. ft. A-Mart, over 20 restaurants
and eateries, the 55,000 sq. ft. International Mall, a
148,000 sq. ft. class A office space, 85,000 sq. ft. of
office/showroom space, a150 room full service hotel and over
900 residential units.
“When you go to any other mall, you see vendors selling the
products but when you come here, its going to be a festive
atmosphere. The streets will be lit up and we’ll have
parades during Diwali. We’ll celebrate all kinds of
festivals like the Chinese New Year, Cinco De Mayo, etc.”
said P I Joy.
To sum up, Point Berkeley will be a unique experience for
everyone. It will be what Atlanta has become in the last few
years- truly international.
