Vedic Temple conducts Mega Prayers for Peace & Harmony
Once again as in all previous years, the sky over Atlanta Vedic Temple echoed with Vedic Mantras for peace and the environment filled with the healthy herbal molecules for purification on AtharVeda-MahaYajnya day of April 29.
The enthusiastic 300+ crowd assembled around 51 Hawan-kunds for mega-scale worship, was proficiently guided by Vedic scholars and the dedicated volunteers. They prayed for guidance, energy and inspiration so that henceforward may their body, mind and senses always work for peace, harmony and joy in their family, society, nation and the whole world.
The prayers were followed by the Ground-Breaking ceremony for the new Yog-Meditation Center & Vaanprasth Aashram at Vedic Temple premises. All past presidents of Vedic Temple and members of Board of Trustees led the Ground-Breaking Hawan.
After the mega-scale Hawan, Dr. Hariprasad – a renowned Vedic scholar explained that we are all Arujna (hesitants) of Gita and the only way to achieve true success is the performance of Yajnya in life.
After a short prasad break, the youths of the temple (Arya Veer Dal) awed the audience with their recitation and explanation of selected Vedic Mantras plus singing of Bhajans.
The Chief Guest- Hon. Consul General Ajit Kumar thanked the devotees of the temple for propagating Vedic Dharma and culture in the west.
Finally came, for the waiting audience, the electrifying discourse by internationally famous Vedic speaker Dr. Devbala, who radiated out that the Vedic civilization in one word is Yajnya and for true Peace and Joy, one need to practice the following ten-vital disciplines: 1) Purify self; 2) Love God within; 3) Love humanity; 4) Serve society; 5) Be content; 6) Respect and Serve elders; 7) Be devoted to Vedic Sanatan Dharma; 8) Worship one God; 9) Observe only good qualities; 10) Think & act for the wellbeing of others.
At the end, after enjoying the sumptuous food (courtesy of devotees from Aashiana Restaurant), the now brightly enlightened crowd, left with a prayerful heart wishing that may they always be on Vedic path of humanity and worship.
