Shyam Reddy Named Regional Administrator of GSA Southeast Region

The U.S. General Services Administration recently announced the appointment of Shyam Reddy to serve as the Regional Administrator of GSA’s Southeast Sunbelt Region, effective Monday, March 29, 2010.
As the Southeast Sunbelt Regional Administrator, Reddy will oversee all of GSA’s operations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee; including management of federal real estate and information technology.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Shyam Reddy to the GSA leadership team as we work to create a greener, more efficient, more cost-effective, more open, and more responsible government for the American people," said Martha N. Johnson, Administrator of General Services. "Shyam’s experience will be invaluable as we pursue this effort in the Southeast Sunbelt Region."
Reddy most recently worked as a partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, a law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, in the Corporate Group where he led negotiations involving complex financial, employment, tax, and structuring issues. While at Kilpatrick, Reddy remained an active member of the regional community with positions on the University of Georgia College of Public Health Board of Advisors, the Common Cause of Georgia Board of Directors, and the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Reddy also received the prestigious 2007 Marshall Memorial Fellowship, a fellowship program through the German Marshall Fund to help strengthen the transatlantic relationship between the United States and European countries.

Reddy received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Emory University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law.
