The Viceroy Royal Indian Dining off Ashford Dunwoody road had a surprise visitor on May 26th. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley dropped by for a Saturday night dinner with husband Michael, her parents and other relatives. An excited Jay Dhir, owner of Viceroy, said Governor Haley liked her chicken vindaloo hot, and washed it down with a glass of chardonnay, while her husband preferred the Indian beer. Others in her group ordered chicken makhani, chicken tikka masala, eggplant bharta, dal makhani with naan and garlic naan. The governor’s family also tried the gajar halwa, gulab jamun and mango pudding.
