GA: Raksha, Inc. provides South Asians in Georgia, with the resources
to face challenges such as domestic violence, family violence,
discrimination, harassment, and sexual assault. On November 3, Raksha's
annual fundraiser, 'Ek Shaam Raksha Ke Naam'is always a much awaited
event in the community. This year, the theme 'Celebrating Old School
Bollywood' promises an evening filled with fun, all for a noble purpose.
"Join
us for dinner, dance, live music and dancing to the beats of DJ Jaz,"
said a Raksha email that was sent out recently. "Come dressed to honor
your favorite Bollywood era!! Pull out those psychedelic sarees, disco
suits, Sholay moves for a night celebrating 17 years of Raksha's work
in the community."
