Governor Perdue, Indian Ambassador Shankar To Headline First USA India Business Summit


Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and Ambassador of India to USA, Her Excellency Ms. Meera Shankar will be among the many dignitaries attending the first USA India Business Summit (UIBS), which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on May 10th and 11th, 2010 at the Cobb Galleria and Conference Center with the theme of "Growing Business and Promoting Entrepreneurship." 

Other confirmed keynote speakers will include U.S. Senator, Hon. Johnny Isakson and Vice-Chairman of GE and President and CEO of GE Technology Infrastructure, Mr. John Rice. UIBS organizing committee has also invited Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, Hon. Anand Sharma; Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Muhtar Kent; Chairman and CEO of Henry Schein, Inc., Mr. Stanley M. Bergman; Co-Founder and Director of Infosys Technologies, Mr. K. Dinesh; Chairman & Managing Director of Suzlon Energy Limited, Mr. Tulsi Tanti and Chairman of Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd., Mr. Ramkrishnan P. Hinduja. 

USA India bilateral trade is growing leaps and bounds and is likely to double in the next five years. The goal of this premier bi-national level summit is to rapidly promote business and investment between USA and India in key areas of technology, agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure, supply chain, logistics, real estate and investment etc. Special emphasis is to connect small to medium size enterprises and entrepreneurs from USA and India. 

UIBS 2010 is being organized by the Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER), US India Business and Research Center (USIBRC), USIII with support of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Commercial Service, Lufthansa German Airlines, CII India Business Forum and a host of sponsoring organizations. 

Distinguished speakers, entrepreneurs and participants from hundreds of companies and organizations are expected to participate in UIBS 2010 including; US Department of Commerce, US Department of State, Government of India, Georgia State and various State Governments of USA and India, Coca-Cola, UPS, Google, Tata Group, CNN, Career Builder, IBM, Lufthansa Airlines, NIIT, Home Depot, Mahindra and Mahindra, Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, Equifax, Georgia Power, Siemens, InterContinental Hotel Group, Georgia-Pacific, Aditya Birla Group, Georgia Tech, NCR, Larsen and Toubro, Global Vehicles USA, SAP USA, KPMG, Emory University, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP and University System of Georgia etc.
