The Art of Living Foundation hosted a Yoga Rave at the Egyptian Ballroom at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on April 5. The evening began with Atlanta-based yoga instructor Kimberly Hard, CEO of Be Well Atlanta, and team guiding the enthusiastic crowd of 350 individuals through a series of yoga postures culminating in restful Yoga Nidra.
After wowing audiences in Latin America, Europe, New York City and Chicago, Argentina's So What Project! swept onto the stage. Performers Nicolas Pucci and Rodrigo Bustos brought the crowd to its feet, rocking and dancing, as the musicians belted out one spirited Sanskrit song after another. Colorful balloons floated above people's heads, in perfect sync with the music and beats. The evening ended with a short guided meditation in the voice of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that perfectly integrated the vibrant excitement from the last couple of hours. It was a beautiful evening of music and meditation, sound and silence, stillness and movement.
"It was a most exhilarating experience - I lost myself completely to the sound, music, dance and silence," exclaimed Jaya Hariharan, one of the attendees. Student Neha Rastogi remarked, "It was one of the most different and vibrant forms of yoga that I have ever experienced. Absolutely brilliant and beyond comparison!"
