Pyongyang, May 31 (Xinhua) North Korea Wednesday condemned the US for committing more than 170 cases of aerial espionage against it in May.

It said the US used reconnaissance planes of different types in carrying out the espionage activities.

The U-2s planes of the country had made daily shuttle flights in the sky over the DPRK's strategic targets through April, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted a military source as saying.

"Their E-3, EP-3 and other types of tactical reconnaissance planes also committed many cases of espionage," said the KCNA.

It said the US conducted more than 160 times aerial espionage against it in April.
